About helium
The choice comes down to volume. Under about 150 balloons, a disposable canister is simpler and cheaper — it arrives filled, you use it, you recycle it. Above that, hire wins on price per balloon and keeps winning all the way up to a marquee.
Balloon size changes the answer more than most people expect. A 12 inch latex takes well over twice the gas of a 9 inch, and a 3ft giant takes as much as twenty-five 10 inch balloons. If you are mixing sizes, work it out properly rather than counting balloons.
